The Plans

View from South West

At the heart of this project is a building which has been carefully designed, based upon the simple shapes of agricultural buildings .

The use of locally sourced building materials will ensure that the building compliments the surrounding architecture and sits comfortably in the beautiful countryside for which the Isle of Purbeck is famous.

The Centre will have two main areas. Along with the Fossil Museum and Workshop, the new facility proposes a light, open space that can be used as a classroom and lecture hall and by the local community. A flexible meeting room will also be available with internet access that can be used for quiet study as well as meetings and seminars.
